This practical guide has been prepared as a visual resource to enable the Histology and Embryology courses more effective for students from faculties of medicine, dentistry and health sciences. By a collaborative work of all faculty members, research assistants and laboratory personnel of the Department of Histology and Embryology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, microscopic slides were carefully chosen from the archive of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Histology and Embryology Each section has been prepared by the lecturer responsible for the specified course practice. The left pages present the the microscopic images, and the blank pages on the right were reserved for the schematic drawings of the student's observations. Care was taken to use a common language in writing.
